Ramadan Mubarak! :) This is my first Ramadan, I was so excited I kept waking up in the middle of the night haha. I'm starting today too. If you don't mind me asking, how was your first Ramadan? I'm a little nervous but mostly excited!

I honestly can’t remember my first Ramadhan, I’ve been fasting since I was very young. My dad started us all at 6 or 7. “Half-days” my mom called it, not eating from su7oor until lunch. And then “whole days” once we got older. I can’t remember not-fasting during Ramadhan.

When I was younger, I used to go through magazines and draw pictures of all the food I wanted to eat. Not because I was hungry. I told my siblings it helped me get through my fast, and they didn’t believe me that it didn’t make me hungry, but it didn’t.
